    How long does it take to learn to play guitar?
    Wanting to learn to play after exams finish in June, just wondering how long it takes to pick up basics, learn chords, etc.

    Plus anything else that could be useful to someone starting out.

    well it took me about a month, to pick up the basics and learn a few chords, so you should be good to go :)
    maybe it depends if your a fast learner or not? but you should be able to by june,

    My bro started few months ago, he learnt basic chords fairly quickly. it all depends how regular u are going to practice and put time into it.

    When u first start because its simple you can lose the interest but if u stick at it u can go far! :D if played well guitar sounds v. good.

    Guitar chords can be learnt in almost 2 weeks ie in case if you are familiar with the scales.But if you are beginer the basics of music would take you around a month.so that u can learn even the melody with notes..
    You can learn even painting.start with pencil sketching then charcoal,water colour and oil etc..its very interesting
