lefty loosey righty tighty ………….. to release some tension you want to turn it counter clockwise. and so on and so forth. you only want to do this a small bit at a time. otherwise you’ll everything up.

How about doing a video longer then 2 minutes?!? Seriously, you are horrible at explaining the intricacies of things… take your time, record for 10 minutes and help out the fresh ears who watch you, I promise you’ll get even better results.

it would be best to use a long ball-nose allen wrench, which will give you the angle you need to access the truss rod with all strings in tune.

Truss rod adjustment is clockwise for a up-bow. NOT counter-clockwise!
you will have to …
you will have to loosen the 2 middle strings to fit the allen wrench in there.. it would probably be hard (maybe impossible) to adjust anything if you have strings in the way
you would still have the tension of 4 strings pulling on the neck anyway, losing the tension of 2 strings shouldnt make too much of a difference

clockwise, are you …
clockwise, are you sure? what does warped up and warped down mean? hand gestures at the edge of the screen aren’t very helpful. Also you make no mention of how string tension can screw with the curvature of the neck… you have to do the neck measurements when the guitar is in tune…
You’re meant to …
You’re meant to have a slight ‘warp’ (as he put it) in a lot of guitar necks: each end of the neck is meant to be slightly higher – if you will – than the centre where the strings vibrates more and would otherwise cause fret buzz. A bow going the other way needs correcting that’s for sure. So unless your guitar is meant to have a perfectly straight neck just ignore this man and his straight edge test.
what do you mean …
what do you mean what’s the point?? The point is to make sure the neck is straight. The neck gets warped, it usually happens more when the weather changes… summer/winter
so whats the point??
so whats the point??
