    i think that john …
i think that john didn’t like being famous but he loved the people/audience. I have heard his fame made him depressed but i don’t know. all that is known is that he loved his family and friends and wanted to proctet them from his fame. many people change career so john changed career after leaving Queen but of course he could do a youtube video for his fans or write something on his website. He could actually record an instrumental song and spread world peace and still live his secluded life.

    Ever since 1977 and …
Ever since 1977 and for almost 10 years Queen played “We will rock you” and “We are the champions” together at the end of each concert, until 1985 when Deacon composed Friends will be friends, which was perfect for the end of the show. “Champions” was untouchable of course, so they placed “Friends..” right before. May and Taylor were not that crazy about that and were having second thoughts about playing it after We will rock you, they were to play it after Radio ga ga, or not play it at all.

    Actually I tottaly …
Actually I tottaly agree with freddie on that one. The biggest “showoffs” in queen were definetly Freddie and Brian but that’s because it’s natural for singers and guitarist to be in front. Good bass players and drummers are dime a dozen, but to be able to write a hit song (both Rodger and John did several times) is harder. That’s why I think the band wouldn’t be half as successful if John OR Rodger weren’t there.

i cant really hear any bass so maybe it was broken and he was throwing it at his bass tech in anger

  • laug0145:

    Sorry for being …
Sorry for being factually wrong. All I was saying was, that I think John Deacon was very dependent on Queen, and especially Freddie Mercury. Queen was his life, and he loved it but and he didn’t want to make music elsewere than queen. His last puplic announcement was telling, that Robbie Williams version of “We are the champions” were nowhere near Freddies standards. I could imagine that he was very thoughtful and angry doing this concert, peaking by throwing his bass guitar. It’s only my guess.

  • sherhrtatk:

    Freddie wouldn’t …
Freddie wouldn’t tell them RIGHT BEFORE a concert. hahaha are you crazy?
