@forjacob Hi you do not need to do this if you have locking tuners. Just do the minimum of turns areound the post possible.

I’ll try this next time I change my strings….One thing that I’m still confused about – the number of wraps on the post depends on the gap you leave…..

..o no?

Yes you can use the same wrappings also on a strat tremolo equipped guitar but be sure it is well setup for the tremolo use.

“Yes” to using this only on a fixed bridge? Or “Yes” to using the string wrapping on the gear post for both style of guitars?

Thank you Frudua, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours!

Mr. Frudua, thank you for this video. One question sir, should the strings be wrapped around the tuning post in this same way on a standard strat with a standard strat style tremolo? Thank you,

thats crazy i was always told that you’re supposed to have 3 wraps on the low strings and it increases on the higher. always learning something new from your videos frudua, keep it up!

  • FruduaTv:

    : ) What makes the …
: ) What makes the string behave like locking tuners in this video is not the higher or lower number of wrappings (less is better) but the way the string is knot around the post and MOST OF ALL the way you tune your guitar (please see related videos) :)

  • velkann:

    good video BUT that …
good video BUT that is not ‘the ultimate frudua way’… and you are doing it wrong. If you really want to make the tuner work like a locking one you cant have those wraps around the pole… because more string there equals to more time it wil take to settle and maintain tuning stability!
