Hard to say, it’s a … Hard to say, it’s a great guitar but a real fender can come pricy, might wanna get something cheaper like a Squier, the only difference between a Fender and a Squier is that the Squier is produced in mexico where the labor is cheaper, but you won’t get the same amount of quality but it’s a great beginner’s guitar if you haven’t got alot of funds to work with.
It’s really all … It’s really all about the pickups and amp, really. You can play death metal on a stratocaster if you want as long as you got pickups designed for it.
any guitar is a … any guitar is a good guitar for a beginner. you just have to be willing to buy it. and yes this is a good guitar for all types of music it mainly depends on the type of amp and effects you use that determines how the guitar sounds. but this guitar can pretty much do all styles.
if it’s a newer … if it’s a newer style then the trussrod hole is usually under the nut,at the headstock. Find the right size wrench. You say there’s nothing in there but there has to be! peak in there with a flashlight and u should see the TR nut. Maybe the nut is missing?
i just bought a … i just bought a starcaster yesterday, a cheaper version of this pretty much. Its single coiled so i wouldn’t recommend it for metal but you can rock out all day with it.
I have a fender … I have a fender stratocaster, but I cant find the truss rod… I have that hole on the top of the neck, but there is nothing in there.
What can i do? please help

From the angle … From the angle shown in this video clockwise will tighten the rod and lessen the bow or relief. For an adjuster on the other end of neck , same is true looking at the butt end of the neck. Clock wise tightens.
when you talk about … when you talk about loosening or tightening a bolt, (truss rod)… you need to descibe it counter clockwise or clockwise. Saying right or left makes no sence.
Well you are right … Well you are right about a non exact science but non adjustment is a most dangerous option. The relief spec has nothing to do with opinions .010″ to .012″ at 8 or 9th fret is correct for a classic Fender neck. Always maintaining ~ .010″ relief is exact enough that you CAN’T GO WRONG. Example: You buy a guitar that is playing correct with .010′s (strings) and you switch to 008′s & don’t adjust. In a few months you will have a neck back bowed that even a luthier might not be able to fix.
DeadOriginal, You … DeadOriginal, You are dead wrong: No offense
_ THIS IS NEARLY PERFECT ADVICE ! It is a succinct explanation of exactly what NEEDS to be done when string gauges are changed. Re check once a month for 010″ to 012″ of an inch relief (Fender & Gibson factory specification). A business card? Well close enough I guess. You will likely need to do a tweak about twice per year due to seasonal humidity. NOT adjusting when needed is what can cause permanent damage . Only 1/6 to 1/4 turn at a time.
