any guitar is a good guitar for a beginner. you just have to be willing to buy it. and yes this is a good guitar for all types of music it mainly depends on the type of amp and effects you use that determines how the guitar sounds. but this guitar can pretty much do all styles.

if it’s a newer style then the trussrod hole is usually under the nut,at the headstock. Find the right size wrench. You say there’s nothing in there but there has to be! peak in there with a flashlight and u should see the TR nut. Maybe the nut is missing?

i just bought a …
i just bought a starcaster yesterday, a cheaper version of this pretty much. Its single coiled so i wouldn’t recommend it for metal but you can rock out all day with it.

I have a fender stratocaster, but I cant find the truss rod… I have that hole on the top of the neck, but there is nothing in there.
