Stewart MacDonald has a selection of pre-cut dots and bits that drill the correct size hole to just glue them in. They are on the web. It is a 10 minute job.

    Avoid vaccines, …
Avoid vaccines, they contain things like Thimerosol(mercury), aluminum, MSG, aspartame/formaldehyde, cancerous mutagens, squalene etc that have all contributed to diseases such as Gulf War syndrome, ADD, Lupis, arthritus, Polio, Alzheimer’s, autism, AIDS, ALS, MS, allergies, asthma, the list is really endless. Now the good ol’ WHO is predicting 4.9 billion H1N1 “swine flu” vaccines to be produced…genocide.

As much time as I spend learning to play, there’s not enough time in life to buld a quality instrument. Not to mention you should understand the physics of resonance. I built a body in 1982. it took weeks just to shape the mahogany. Never finished it.

    I’m doing this …
I’m doing this right now, if you have experience with wood it definitely helps, but really all you have to be able to do is work precisely and follow instructions well (assuming you’re going from plans, which I suggest you should because you could get all sorts of things wrong like the neck pitch [if you need it] or the scale length if you don’t work from plans)

  • kenan6346:

yes, but get ready for a difficult job if you’re gonna do it yourself.

  • jmillr:

    You are never going …
You are never going to learn how to do something by not doing it; don’t listen to those other people. Your first one should be made out of cheap wood, say pine or something else. Practice on that until you feel comfortable enough to use more expensive wood. You don’t want the pressure of using expensive wood right off the bat. Practice first, good luck!

    first practice, …
first practice, make a chair for starters, and then go to the guitar, i also want to do one but i think i would modernize my present one, paint the body or make a new one.
