dont know if … dont know if anyones replied but, i dont think chalk or baby powder will work because its too dry, never actualy tried it myself but what i do know is that pencil lead works because like he said it kinda works like a lubricant when rubbed between the nut and strings to it gets kida slippery… (sounds funny but wasnt trying to be). i beleive the chalk is too powdery probably get pasty when wet, like if the area you live in is humid or moist…
