My New Ibanez Mikro Electric Guitar by Armand “The Brutal Test”

New Ibanez Mikro. Picked it up this weekend. They’re $130 anywhere, and a great guitar for a beginner or a pro. I got it for the portability and not-expensive-as-my-other-guitars value. This means I can bring it places and not worry as much if somebody dings it. Its also BRUTAL.

The website I maintain and store I work for:

http://www.pineyhillsstudio.com/

New DR Pro Mic stand, and I’d say don’t buy any stands but these. Lifetime worth of stand here. Its built like a billy club.

My voice sounds fine, but I was trying mic positions and amp settings to see how it would record (it sucked really). Next time I’ll just use the webcam to record it, since it does a better job of getting the ambient amp sound.

Recorded on my HP Premium Autofocus Webcam, Line6 Toneport, and a Cad 12 mic.

Studio Erdo: Part 6 – Tracking bass guitar, boring talk about importance of new strings [HD 720p]

www.erdo.se – visit for more news, music blog and gallery.

This is Part 6 of a series of videos that I’m releasing as my album draws closer to the finish line. In this part I track bass guitar and talk about the importance of new strings for that percussive sound. When tracking is done, we will move onto editing and then mixing. I will share my methods in editing and mixing later on and that is also when I will give tips about how to achieve a good guitar tone and so on. You should subscribe if you are interested in music, recording, mixing, tracking or anything that has to do with this because I will start from the beginning of a recording and take you all the way through to a finished album. The whole process is going to be documented.

Quick info about me: I’m just a guy who is trying to achieve a personal goal which is to single-handedly write and produce a full-length album. All instruments are played by me.

I will try to answer any questions in the comments so just ask away if you wonder about something I forgot to mention in the videos.

Thanks to Andy Sneap for hosting a great forum over at the ultimatemetal.com forums.
